A data processing program is not a magic formula : it is simply a tool placed at the service of a work method. If the latter is neither thought through nor appropriated, then the software will not be able to accomplish much and will become counterproductive, or will be accused of all evils.
Exemole (www.exemole.fr) is a small LLC created in September 2003. It is the result of a « branching out » of the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Rights of Humankind; that is to say that it was created by former employees of the Foundation with the goal of carrying out, in an autonomous manner, the development of tools and methods given rise to from within the Foundation.
Work on Irenees dates from before the creation of Exemole. Irenees was the prototype of « resource websites » from which Exemole developed one of its specialties via its « BaseDeFiches » software. The Irenees.net website continues to have a special place in the heart of the Exemole as it supports the website via a (small) sponsorship and, above all, because of the time consecrated to its development.
