As Said by Artisans of Peace : interviews with Alliance of Artisans of Peace’s members
Interviews were conducted in 2008, following the coronation of the Alliance of Artisans peace at the founding meeting held in Paris in November 2007.
This file includes a series of interviews conducted with members of the Alliance of Artisans of Peace, all actors, through their daily commitment, of the construction of an Art of Peace.
Coming from all around the world, they tell their story, they share their experience, their beliefs, and enrich us with their know-how.
Through this sample of stories of actions and perceptions, contours of an international expertise at the service of a common construction of an Art of Peace are standing out. For, indeed, the understanding of peace processes born of the know-how and experience of each one, leads to the developement of relevant proposals, which suggest a deep renovation of ways to design and build peace.
The diversity of testimonies is part of an intercultural dynamic, with a convergence of actors who, though being part of very different contexts, share common values and a co-responsibility ethic , persue common goals and implement shared initiatives for peace building…
This dossier aims to highlight actors working for Peacebuilding and to increase their experience and know-how came from action ; It’s a kind of answer to the dominent discourse whose tendency is to focus on current threats and security issues,g apparent only conflicts and war experiences, giving believe that the peace initiatives do not exist.
